Michael Heumann, 34, teaches English at the University of California, Riverside. A native of Southern California, Heumann received his Ph.D in English back in 1998. His dissertation focused on the influence of sound technology on 20th century literature. Heumann has studied music off and on for six years; he records under the moniker Aboo.
