That’s no nom de plume emboldened above. Contrary to the images it may conjure up, Gentry is your typical coy, Caucasian, suburbanite, whose mother, it could be said, was a bit overzealous in her rearing, and became an agent of socialization in herself. Always true to his namesake’s blue-bloodedness, he avoids all heavy lifting, and liked chai tea before you did. A self-confessed news junkie and conservative talk radio aficionado, his dream is become the next Victor Davis Hanson, or at least, James Lileks. His opinion changes between if he likes Franny & Zooey more than The Catcher In The Rye daily and his greatest literary accomplishment is reading V cover to holy-gracious-blessed end cover. He’s also a true zombie flick fancier, Christopher Guest groupie, and probably the only person to avow his love for The Million Dollar Hotel. It’s safe to say Brian Eno changed his life. Here Come The Warm Jets and Taking Tiger Mountain (By Storm) opened a Pandora’s box of music nobody has heard of when they ask what he’s listening too. He can’t even think about the latter without bursting into the “China My China” melody. He’s doing it right now. Nothing much more to say, other than, he claims he’s a celibate--but nobody really expects that to pan out.
