Eels - Blinking Lights and Other Revelations

Being dismayed at zero comments for this, I must say this is an astonishing record! It's great to have E back, not to mention with his masterpiece album in tow... bravo

If this album was condensed into one side, it could be considered E's finest. But as it stands, there are too many subpar cuts for this to be anywhere near the "A-" it received. There are far too many tracks with subpar lyrics an boring chord progressions. I guess this what one should expect with a double album. I never came across a double album that I loved; this one is no different. The magic word here is "edit".
