Queens of the Stone Age - Lullabies to Paralyze

Lullabies To Paralyze may be nothing more than a holding pattern, but it's still a brilliant pattern, and I'll take it over 90% of what passes for music these days. Rock on, Homme.

couldnt have said it better myself joshweb...i read the review a tad indignant at some of the negetive remarks but all the same i can see some of Bjorns points..that being said, Josh Homme's style on this album, while possibly much the same as the last album, is entirely unique to the majority of the crap bein made...an i do think he does change things up a bit with songs like 'i never came' an 'in my head'...regardless of what anyone says this album is 100% Queens and 100% kick ass

Great Review-really sums up what other reviews have failed to-that's its no move forward but its still enjoyable. This reminds me a lot of Interpol's "Antics", which didn't really say anything that "Turn on theh bright lights" didn't already but was still a lot of fun.

Definitely disappointing, barely any vocal harmonies, totally inconsistent, horrible production on every song but "little sister". Not sure if Homme & Co. are gonna sustain Songs For the Deaf quality if they keep heading in this direction. However, they still destroy live.
