Gwen Stefani - Love, Angel, Music, Baby
Maaaaaan, I hope this thing flops, and I hope the forces behind her inevitable fall are as contrived and machined-tooled as her "solo" album. She's been getting on my nerves even since "Spiderwebs" - in short, a long fucking time. Go away. I wonder what she bribed Scorsese with to get that part in "The Aviator"? Hopefully she promised him that she'd do sit-ups under a car for eternity if he cast her.
yeah, to hell with gwen stefani. what a waste.
Entertaining pop album. A couple misfires, but it is a guilty pleasure.
that sounded a little crass earlier. while i agree wholeheartedly with what beercan said, there are still those instances where I’ve really been entertained by her. For instance, i love her in "it's my life". a lot. she has a sexy, sexy voice. and i don't think she's irredeemable, or that anything she puts out is automatically bad. but i just don't know if i could go for this as a guilty pleasure. she's too old for that. in general, i like my guilty pleasures better when they're born AFTER 1970 :) so i listen to avril or annie, maybe the strokes or franz ferdinand. i dunno. maybe i'll give this album a try as a guilty pleasure, even though i'm sure to be pelted by guests for it. is it as sexy as it is entertaining?
Got the CD and I listen to it everyday. I'm a fan of the 80's so this one was dope. I wasn't into the Dre produced song, but... oh well. Was not a waste if you're into this type of music and her style. If you're not - THEN DON'T FUCKING LISTEN TO IT.
