Villalobos - Thé Au Harem D’archimède

Thé au Harem d’Archimède, revisited I recently read your review of the new Ricardo Villabos album. Your insight is helpful, and supports the music well. I came across your article in a search for the meaning beneath the title, and I think you may be on to something with the analogy to the Archimedes Priniciple. However, one important fact that was left out is that the full title is "Thé Au Harem D’archimède", which translates to "Tea with the Harem (the family of wives and concubines belonging to one man, in Mohammedan countries; a seraglio) d’Archimède (of Archimedes). However, the harem term originated completely from a muslim society. Archimedes was a Greecian. So what to derive from that? Also, Archimedes contributed greatly to integral calculus, and was one of the first to find the approximate value of pi, although he did not call it as such. With the close relationship between mathematics and music, I would suspect that Ricardo's meaning goes beyond Archimedes famous discovery of density.
