why does it feel like this site often does something like this (also see: heaping loads of praise on linkin park) just to avoid being labeled pretentious indie assholes?

possible alternative explanation: some stylus writers just happen to enjoy the works of linkin park and good charlotte, and like to write about it.

hey, i like good charlotte. people with tattoos for arms always make the best musicians.

I actually really like the "Institutionalized" break in "Predictable" quite a bit. More music should aspire to the heights of "Institutionalized".

furiousgeorge: as one of the editors here, I can definitively tell you that such an agenda requires way too much thought and planning and work that we simply don't have time for. The individual writers decide what they like, and for the most part what gets covered, not the site itself. Stylus shouldn't be labeled as anything other than an open community for music writers. You're giving us far too much credit to think that we plan out this sort of thing. Kilian is much closer to the point of it.

any critic who compares good charlotte to the cure should die a very slow and fucking painfull death and why didnt the critic explain that there was two versions of the same album just got get theyre little teeny fans to form over more money for one extra song( of course if theyre dumb enough to fall foe that when they can just download the extra song they deserve wasting theyre money)
