The Blue Nile - High

Well, there is always something strange with "Blue Nile"-albums. At first you think, well, nice, somehow touching, but it always takes time until you get into the landscape of their songs. Same procedure every so-and-so years, this time the same. And "High" is what you really can call a "grower". The more you listen to it, the more you want to listen to it. You can´t exactly say what it is, that draws you inside, but it works! Sometimes a wonderful line of words, delivered in this timeless old way of singing, sometimes a special chord that resonates in a special way, sometimes a distant memory springs to mind you can´t really put into words. Maybe, The Blue Nile have already done their classic work before, the changes in their music are so subliminal, but this is one again it is simply gorgeous!
