I believe the synths you are referring to above are the Roland JX-8P (not JX-8) and Roland Juno 106 (not JUNO). Although there are two other synths in the Juno series, the 106 is the most popular because of its midi abilities. As for the Yamaha, too, the DX is a series.... the DX7 was the biggest seller, while the DX100 was very popular with Detroit Techno dudes. Not sure which one you mean.
