whilst searching for nina simone's "lilac wine" on kazaa one day, i stumbled upon katie's version. i thought i'd give it a shot. BIG mistake. it gives the impression she put little thought into re-arranging the song, as if she changed the phrasing simply to make it sound "different" to that of jeff buckley or nina simone. she succeeded there. while her version is different, it's also horrible. she's tried to make it dark and epic, instead it's cheesy and mindless. i shall never recover
