Very good review. I concur, as strange as it may seem, that Champion Sound is better than Madvillainy. I can't explain it, but this album is extremely addictive. It cuts through to the essence of hip hop (adrenaline) and amplifies it to robust almost toxic levels. But no matter how many times I listen and how loud I pump it, I just can't seem to overdose. This is a very unique album. I used to be all about lyrical content but truthfully hip hop is about sick flows over sick beats (emphasis on "sick"). I have nothing against "bringin' the knowledge", but knowledge is something too sacred to rely on someone else to parcel and present to you every year or so. It is a private matter. Hip hop is primarily a feeling you get in your heart and in your spine. If it also happens to tickle the intellect then that's the gravy. Please note that Madvillainy is mindblowing. But that only serves as a testament to the greatness of this album. Keep up the the good work Nate.
