These reviewers in the singles jukebox seem to get more and more negative each time that I read. It seems like they aren't satisfied until they have called every indie stalwart overrated in some way. (Flaming Lips, White Stripes, Wilco in this issue alone) What is the point of trusting any of them when they are so quick to dismiss everything? I'd like to see each one of them make a list of artists that are generally respected that they haven't shit on in some way, shape, or form. The amount of cold-hearted cynicism it seems that is required to review singles astounds me.

i gotta agree with venezuelan1, these reviews are pointless. no more for me. i'll stick with pitchfork. ever compare top singles of the year b/t the two sites? while i gotta admit pitchfork isn't perfect, at least they give their readers something worthwhile. stylus isn't even in the same galaxy.
