Radiohead: Pablo Honey - Playing God
I have never ever heard Radiohead described as "a more menacing Fine Young Cannibals," and for writing something both new and bizarrely apt about Radiohead, you deserve Something Special.
erm, i actually like 'You' better than half the tracks on the album
i think this is a fair reworking, but how is "you" a terrible song? either way, there's a great live version of "you" for WNNX that could almost fit on here. and although "blow out" is almost cheesy, it doesn't cross that line for me, so i don't get your exclusion of it.
Coke Babies is the worst Radiohead song bar Pop Is Dead.
Anyone who can remove 'You' and leave 'How do You?' on Pablo Honey needs to see a doctor. Today.
Pablo Honey sucks. Creep is a good song, but I never need to hear it again as long as I live. It's a fact that this album was subpar and barely a Radiohead album.
God, I don't even want to imagine Pablo Honey without 'Blow Out'. I think it's the only thing on the album that would comfortably on anything else the band has done, especially the remix on the Creep 2nd Issue single.
No You or Blow Out? For shame.
i never understood why people liked this record so much, aside from a guitar player liking this album because it's more guitar-centric than other radiohead records. to me, this record is something radiohead wished they'd recorded at fort apache or something.
