Batman Begins - Movie Review

I can't belive they let Joey Porter on to the set.

Yeah, she did ok as the feisty DA do-right, but in the tender moments . . . yikes. But that could be attributed to comic book writing for a female character as well as Mrs. Hubbard's performance.

She was a lot better than I was expecting her to be. Liam Neeson was pretty great too, even if he was basically playing an evil version of his Star Wars character.

Is it good? I couldn't work it out! The plot line was so clunky and misguided that I had a tough time following it. Something to do with a chap putting a sack on his head and going "Boo!" a lot. I also found the lack of cohesion between the scenes up to the "standard" of Daredevil. Not to mention the haphazard and badly edited fight scenes which seemed to be cut by the second so you had no idea what was actually happening. The plaudits this movie has received has only continued to dumbfound me.

Great review, but I don't like the underselling of Spiderman in your opening - a much more satisfying movie.

why no mention of oldman? He was excellently understated. And Carmine, as terrific? He could have come out of Sin City with his hopelessly artificial, over the top, representation. At least with Sin City that was the point. Here, he sticks out as sore as Jerry's tail after Tom's through with it, and just as comic-y, amidst the other talents' representations.
