YEARS OLD
calculating...

I’ll assume most people don’t have the luxury of being bored at work. But for the time being, that lavishness is something I know very well, and this “blend” is just the kind of buffoonery that tends to result from it. “Lose Control” has been one of my most-listened-to tracks this year, but I doubt I’d consider it one of my favorite songs of the year, since as far as I’m concerned, “Lose Control” is Cybotron’s “Clear.” It’s not based on it, it is it, only with different vocals. It’s all very P. Diddy of Missy, but I’m willing to forgive her. Gerd’s 2005 remix of Shirley Lite’s 1983 disco-pop classic “Heat You Up (Melt You Down),” released on the Clone label’s Box Jams 12-inch series, is the designated instrumental source for this mash-up. This version of Missy’s acapella is sadly sans Ciara and Fatman Scoop.
